HAIRDUCATION !!
Dont say hairducation out loud , lol. Heyy guyss, we are back and this week and we have an educative post, talking about basic things we naturals need to own and know, you're gonna love it π
As the saying goes, knowledge is power so we want to share what we have learnt so far cause people always ask about our hair regimen and stuff
First , we'd like to talk about the basic items you need right after you big chop or transition;
i) Wide tooth comb
ii) Denman brush
Our productsπ |
iv)Spray bottle
v)Shampoo (sulfate free)
vi) Conditioner
vii)Leave-in conditioner
viii)Satin bonnet/scarf
ix) Boar bristle brush
So lets talk about oilsss and their uses.cant forget oils π. They are very important please, nothing worse than dry hairπ£
i) Coconut oil -improves the scalp health and eliminates frizzy hair.
ii)Castor oil - promotes hair growth and prevents breakage.
iii)Olive oil -adds shine and reduces frizz.
iv)Argan oil -makes hair stronger and adds shine.
v)Jojoba oil -moisturizes hair and prevents hair loss.

viii)Tea Trea oil - for hair growth and treatment of dandruff.

* we're just gonna slide Shea butter in here. It's not an oil of course but it's also really imporant.
Some of these oils are also skin friendly but we're not going into that
pheww, so different oils for different purposes basically.
Sometimes when we find ourselves googling some hair stuff , we come across some acronyms that get us really confused. For the longest time, these things confused us but now we have seen the light lol and are here to guide you. These are the basic ones, overtime, we will use some others
ACV -Apple Cider Vinegar
BC-Big Chop
Co-Wash - washing with conditioner only
DC -Deep Conditioner
EVOO -Extra Virgin Olive Oil
JBCO -Jamaican Black Castor Oil

*JBCO is a personal favourite π
