Hello humanssss ☺️ I’m sure you are wondering if this page is it still functioning and who this is and what I am doing here, lool. My name is Augusta, the curls to the fro et curls πŸ˜… Sooooooo, sure you have been wondering where we (Sandra and I) have been, Sandra has been living her best life in the obodo oyinbo and dealing with school, she just graduated by the way, so she's free from the clutches of education for a little while πŸ˜… I, on the other hand, moved to a new city to serve my nation πŸ˜‚ I’m currently in Abuja, doing my NYSC. Don’t think I am just giving you random gist, I am going to get to the hair part. I CUT MY HAIRRRRRR😱 Yeah! Just about two inches🀣. As enthusiatic as I may seem, I get overwhelmed sometimes and I feel like my hair isn’t growing, so I trimmed the ends and was kinda hoping for a fresh start but guess what ? I am tired again, oh well🀷🏽‍♀️             By the way, I have horrible writing skills and zero coordination so I’ll be spittin

PRODUCT REVIEW: ZEBELLECURLS NATURALS Helloooo beautiful people, hope everyone is doing great and your 2019 isn’t turninoniown πŸ˜…Today, I, Augusta, Gussy baby, Augiie_x 🀣is here to present to you a product review of Zebellecurls natural products. Zebelle was kind enough to send Sandra and I her products to review but this post is solely going to be about what I think of the products, Sandra’s review would be coming soon. Let’s get right into it, the kit contained 7 products which I’ll list and give my thoughts on. 1. Moisturizing black soap shampoo; The product claims to cleanse, moisturize, shine and nourish. First thing I noticed was the smell, it has a nice cakey smell which I kinda like☺️ The product is watery which is not a problem for me because I wash my hair in twists, it lathered well and the ingredient list is full of good stuff like aloevera, castor oil, lemongrass and so much more. My hair actually felt clean, moisturized, shiny and nourished after I rinsed

CHEBE POWDER : BENEFITS & IMPORTANCE

Image
Hello everyonee e ☺ In the spirit of Valentine's, here's a lovely post about chebe butter and it's benefits   Chebe butter has been the wave for a while now and it's popular among naturals all over the world. we need to know that its been used for a long time by women from a particular tribe in Chad republic It is found around Africa in countries like Burkina Faso, Ghana and in Nigeria.   HOW TO MIX CHEBE BUTTER There are different ways of using this but I'll write how i did mine I)  Shea butter - I used shea butter as a base as opposed to using mango butter or cocoa butter .it really depends on what you  prefer, any butter is fine. II) Oils-My chebe powder came with karkar oil so I put that into the mixture along with coconut oil, JBCO, lavender oil and olive oil in very small quantities III) Finally I added a table spoon of the chebe powder and mixed it all together How I apply it can be seen on our Instag

HOW DEEP CONDITIONING WITH HEAT CHANGED MY LIFE

Image
Helloooo beautiful people and happy new yearrrrπŸ’ƒπŸΌ I believe this year would be full of beautiful things for all of us πŸ™πŸΌ We would make conscious efforts to blog as much as possible. So, I was going through my phone and I saw two different photos of my hair at an interval of 4 months, ps; its really good to take photos during your hair journey, its helps you see the growth and progress. So yeah, the major thing I noticed about my hair was the difference in volume and texture and I figured that it started right after I began to take deep conditioning more seriously after discovering my hair is low porosity by doing the following; ·          Adding a spoon of honey to my deep conditioner for that wash day (not directly pouring honey into my deep conditioner jar oh) The honey is just to add more moisture. ·          Placing my mixed DC and honey in a bigger bowl of warm water to heat up the mixture a little bit, I feel like this makes the ingredients more active. ·

My Experience At Nappy Ever After With Ziiza Hello beautiful people, it’s your girl Augusta and guess what? I attended a natural hair event! Yesss, a gathering of beautiful ladies where all we talked about was hair 😍😍 Sandra wasn’t in town πŸ˜ͺ to attend with me so I went alone. It held on Sunday, 9 th of December and it was called Nappy Ever After With Ziiza, organized by Ziizathecap who is the CEO of Ziiza Empire (lool, I have said Ziiza like 100 times, don’t blame me, it’s a nice name) Anyways, what got my attention about this event was the fact that it wasn’t regular, it promised to be practical, knowledgeable and resourceful, which it truly was. Plus there was a goody bag and small chops. We were supposed to have five speakers but only three were present due to unforeseen circumstances.  The first speaker was Dr. Titi Denloye of Adenbeautystores, a very beautiful lady, I must s

EVERYWHERE SATIN !!

Image
Hello beautiful people, hope everyone is doing great and getting ready for Christmasss πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌ? Today’s post is all about satin, I was sitting on my bed and realized there was satin everywhere, literally. I had my satin scarf on, my pillowcase is made of satin and my afrocentric satin bonnet was just by the corner of my bed. Ever wondered why naturals always fuss about using satin or silk fabrics to protect the hair? 🀷🏽‍♀️ Here's why...Satin or silk fabric helps maintain the natural oils present in our hair and allows less friction between our hair and other surfaces like cotton pillowcases and sheets. Personally, I prefer satin fabrics because they are cheaper and efficient. Protecting your hair with satin can make or break your hair journey, how? Going to bed without properly protecting your hair can lead to dry hair which is caused by lack of moisture and moisture retention is key in having healthy hair. Dry hair can lead to damage and split ends, which in
